Digital Camera: Memory Card Size

Digital camera memory cards are available in various sizes. Choose the memory card size based on how many photos you like to shoot. Are you going on a trip where you want to take the maximum number of photos without concern for running out of space? Are you simply having a family gathering and want some fresh photos of your family members?

When using JPEG image type you can use a memory card with much less space on it than if you are using RAW image type. The memory card capacity can be as little as 12MB and as large as 1GB.

Choose your memory card size based on whether you want one large size card so you never need to change it or several small cards you change often.

Your digital camera features will need to have a capacity to handle whichever card you choose.
