Digital Camera: Image Processing Software

Once the files have been downloaded from your digital camara, you may choose to use image-processing software to improve on the resulting image.

This adjusting through the software can increase what is known as the "noise." While improving one attribute another may be getting out of sync. For example too much us of hue/saturation will cause a noticeable and undesirable grain to be produced.

As you make adjustments be sure to watch for over-balance that may cause a different problem elsewhere. Use reserve and caution when processing color.

Make as many adjustments as you can with your digital camera at the time of shooting the photo.
