In your digital camera
focal length is used to control depth
of field. Wide angle focal length gives a greater depth of field
giving your photo sharpness for the near objects as well as the
ones far away in the surroundings.
For photography where
you want limited sharpness so some objects in the photo are sharp
while others are less focused, use a telephoto setting or telephoto
accessory
lens.
