Digital Camera: Custom (Manual) White Balance

Custom white balance control is usually not included on basic digital cameras. This feature increases the user's control with custom settings so each lighting situation can be matched with precision.

It's easier to customize white balance than you may think. Simply point your digital camera at something white or gray without being concerned with focusing. Follow the color balancing procedure.

The digital camera will analyze the white and gray based on the lighting situation and adjust the color to make them accurately neutral. This is a fabulous feature to use where flourescent lighting is the available light source.

If you want true control over color get a digital camera with custom setting for white balance.
