Digital Camera: AF Light Sensitivity Considerations

Autofocus in digital cameras is impacted by how light or bright the surroundings are. When light is low it can be difficult for any digital camera to focus.

Most advanced cameras will include beams that function dark conditions. Just be aware that these beams are bright and are sometimes unacceptable based on etiquette or even safety at times. In outdoor settings a momentary bright light can cause temporary vision impairment which can cause a safey hazard.

Use of a digital camera with AF beams in quiet settings such as weddings and church occasions can be inappropriate.
